Snug piercing question!?

I recently got my snug pierced and it just occurred to me that i should probably ask you guys this, is it normal that it gushed blood when i got it pierced? None of my other piercings did this, though i have heard that snug piercings are harder to get to heal right. I got it done on wednesday and it is now sunday. it is still extremely sore and swollen, and it bleeds a little. I wash it twice a day and do sea salt soaks once a day, as well as spray h2ocean on it when it gets sensitive. Do you guys think its normal that it is still this sore and swollen or is it normal for snug piercings?
