My airsoft battery broke?

The clear casing cracked, and it immediately lost it's charge. The cells are still connected and it broke because I have a m4 that's front wired to the hand guard and the battery is so snug that it just poped open. Ive used it many many times and i guess it's just getting old. Does the battery still work if I charge it?
