Want a snug piercing. Info, Tips, please?

Hey so I've been looking into some ear piercings lately because I've been looking into stretching my lobes into 2 gauges. But, I found a really cute piercing: the snug. I fell in love with it so I decided to do some research. I'm getting lots of mixed reviews. Some people say they love it and as long as you clean it religiously there'll be no problem, while others practically thrown themselves off a bridge to warn you not to get it. Would like some opinions or tips to clear it up? Thanks!
